Whistle Punk is the grill and taphouse on Richwood's Main Street, and Richwood is the town at the western end of the Highland Scenic Highway - which makes this the obvious place to stop after riding it. A whistle punk was the man on a logging crew who signalled the engineer, which is about right for a town built on timber. Dogs are welcome, which matters more than it sounds if you are travelling with one.
