Mud River Covered Bridge

Attraction
Milton, Cabell County
Get Directions

The last Howe-truss covered bridge left in West Virginia, built around 1875 over the Mud River as the town of Milton grew up around the railroad. When it finally retired from road duty, the whole bridge was moved, in 2001, to a pond at Pumpkin Park, home of the West Virginia Pumpkin Festival and the Cabell County Fair, where it's now a walk-through centerpiece. An easy stop right off US 60, and a good reason to time a visit around the fall festival.

West Virginia Bikers lists businesses as a service to riders. We are not affiliated with the businesses listed and do not warrant their hours, prices, services, availability or condition — details change and places close. Confirm directly with the business before you ride out of your way. A listing is not an endorsement, and any dealings you have with a business are between you and them.
