Locally owned since 2000, a block off Marshall University's campus on 3rd Avenue. Ribs, brisket, pork, chicken and turkey go over hickory, and the wings have as much of a reputation as the smoke does. There's a screened-in porch, which is the seat to want on a warm evening. From June into September the kitchen is only half the reason to come: on Thursday nights both sides of the lot get blocked off for bikes, a band plays outside from 7 to 10, and draft stays at happy-hour price all night. Outside those months it's an ordinary — very good — barbecue room, so check ahead if the bike night is what you're riding for.

West Virginia Bikers lists businesses as a service to riders. We are not affiliated with the businesses listed and do not warrant their hours, prices, services, availability or condition — details change and places close. Confirm directly with the business before you ride out of your way. A listing is not an endorsement, and any dealings you have with a business are between you and them.
