Drovers Inn has stood on the Washington Pike since 1848, named for the men who drove livestock down this road to market, and it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. An old building still working as a restaurant and tavern rather than preserved as a museum is a thin category in the Northern Panhandle, which is most of the reason to point a rider at it. Check the hours before committing to the detour - the week is short, and the phone is only answered from midday Wednesday through Saturday.
